Raiders DC Warns Shedeur Sanders About ‘Monsters’

Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders will make his long-awaited first start for Cleveland Browns when they take over Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.

That’s a little poetic Sanders will make a turning point against the Raiders. Before the NFL draft, he did not hide his desire to play for the silver and black. Las Vegas passed on him multiple times, however, and Shadeurs fell to the Browns in the fifth round.

Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham was asked how he would defend the 23-year-old signal-caller, who, as the reporter pointed out, it tends to bounce back in your pocket.

“All the young quarterbacks think that’s the (right) move,” Graham said with a laugh. “They all think it’s a move. I told you before, you could do it, but the monsters are out there.”

“All the young quarterbacks tend to do that because in college it’s just different. (In the NFL), you have Max Crosby, (Devin) White, those guys. I would stay away from going back.”

Are you reading this, Shedeur? Take it into account.

Sanders has a great opportunity to make a comeback since his mediocre performance in his season debut in Week 11. He replaced starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who suffered a concussion, and went 4 of 16 for 47 yards and one interception in their loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He was also replaced twice.

If something goes well for him, he is already used to the spotlight. But when it comes to performing against elite defenders, that’s a whole different story.

It will be interesting to see how Sanders adjusts when the monsters come after him.
