Rashad McCants on the ‘impenetrable’ Victor Vembanyama

McCants noted how the now 21-year-old star has become a student of the game.

“He looked at the history of the game, it really helps you grow as a player and get better,” McCants said.

The former NBA guard noted at the time that “Wemby” works on his craft when he’s not under the league’s microscope.

“Then he goes to the gym, takes shots, that’s one aspect of sharpening your tools,” McCants said.

“But when you can go and you can try different weapons (in basketball) and start using them and understand how they work, then put them in your arsenal, that’s what makes you a better warrior,” McCants said. “Being able to have an unlimited amount of weapons to get through defenses and be impenetrable.”

The Spurs big man has already bettered his points per game (25.7) from the previous two seasons. The same with his blocks and jumps according to the competition. He became “impenetrable” in the eyes of McCants – and many around the NBA.
