Ravens’ Lamar Jackson continues to dish on NSFV after heartbreaking loss to Bills
The Baltimore Ravens‘ playoff hopes came to a painful end in a 27-25 loss Buffalo Bills in the divisional round. Despite the fact that Lamar Jackson couldn’t bring his A-game, finishing the game with 254 yards, two touchdowns and a 114.4 passer rating, and delivered a 24-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Likely with 1:33 left in the game. But with a chance to tie it with a two-point conversion, The Ravens fell after Mark Andrews couldn’t make the catch.
Jackson wasn’t shy about the frustrating nature of the loss, which featured a series of mistakes. Sam Jackson had two turnovers in the first half.
“Every time we’re in situations like this, turnovers play a big part,” Jackson said in a postgame interview. “We can’t have that—and that’s why we lost the game.” As you can see, we’re moving the ball beautifully… hang on to the freaking ball. I’m sorry about my language. This is boring. I’m tired of this s—.”

Lamar Jackson’s frustration was completely understandable, as two turnovers in the first half was not something Jackson was used to. It was his first game with multiple turnovers of the season.
The first twist came early when Jackson threw a “BS” interception after not reading the security. Buffalo’s defense was all over him, blitzing 48.4% of the time. Jackson faced pressure on nearly 60% of those blitzes, led by linebacker Matt Milano. Milano had four rushes and three hits and had a key two-point conversion attempt denied in the third quarter. It wasn’t a piece of cake for Jackson, and the offensive line struggled to protect him throughout the game.
Turnovers ended up being the difference. The Ravens turned the ball over three times, while the Bills had none. A Damar Hamlin sack led to a Jackson fumble in the second quarter, and Buffalo turned it into a touchdown, putting the Ravens up 14-7. The Ravens couldn’t generate turnovers of their own, which ultimately hurt them.
Andrews, who is usually reliable, had a night to forget. He fumbled the ball late, setting up a key Bills field goal, and then failed to catch the two-point attempt that would tie the game. Despite that, Lamar Jackson didn’t dump his teammate under the bus and supported him.
“I’m not going to put it on Mark, bro,” he said after the game. “We are a team. It’s not his fault.” Andrews finished with 67 yards, but he’s sure to repeat that head drop that cost his team the game.
