Referee Bill Kennedy was injured during the match
It’s not just players who can get injured during a match. Coaches too we remember Chris Fincheven if it is much less common. Another extremely rare occurrence: an injured referee. However, this is an accident that happened to Bill Kennedy.
The latter is a well-known person, with 25 years spent in the courts. He coached more than 1,400 regular season games, 139 playoff games and as many as six Finals games. I in the Sixers’ win in Orlandoin the first quarter and all alone, the 59-year-old referee injured his right leg.
“I heard him scream and saw him grab his leg. He screamed again and collapsed.”, say Nick Nurse. “I thought he had injured his tendon, but I heard about the Achilles tendon at half-time. I hope that’s not the case, that it’s not too serious.”
We don’t yet know what illness Bill Kennedy is suffering from, but he left the floor in a wheelchair. An unusual scene indeed.
“As soon as someone gets hurt, since I’ve had unfortunate injuries myself, it hurts, it affects me,” confie Joel Embiid. “It’s unfortunate and I hope it’s not too serious. I’ll be praying for him.”
