Rich Paul denies that he ever influenced the Lakers’ decisions through LeBron James



All over LeBron James’s career, his friend and agent Rich Paul was on his side. During the summer, he starred in James signs a $52.6 million player option with Los Angeles Lakers another year.

Recently, Paul said that the Lakers they weren’t championship caliber team despite James, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves on the roster. Yet he did refutation of claims that he had any role in influencing the organizations decisions over his famous client, according to The Game Over Podcast with Max Kellerman.

“I I know many times people have thought, I would see what people saythey don’t lead the Lakers.We’ve never led the Lakers. It was never a thing. Would the way if i started Lakers I would was part of the deal and I got something from that mule. I think people only say things only to say that on most platforms.”

He further said that he maintains a good relationship with the organization.

“I we’ve had a great relationship and we’ve had and continue to have a great partnership with the Lakers, but it is not as you would think. And by the way, me don’t they want that responsibility.”

Meanwhile, the Lakers are 20-11 and 5th in the Western Conference. They are on Tuesday lost to Detroit Pistons 128-106. Paul is the founder of Klutch Sports, a prominent sports agency with an array of clients including Jalen Hurts, Anthony Davis and Draymond Green.

It was Paul’s a group that was key in Lakers signing Davis to a three-year, $186 million contract in 2023. Also, clients Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Talen Horton-Tucker signed contracts.
