Rich Paul left in the dark about the Anthony Davis trade from the Mavericks



The NBA trade deadline got some notable headlines. One of them was trade of Anthony Davis from Dallas Mavericks that the Washington Wizards.

But it seems that his agent, Rich Paul, he didn’t know what happenedper Joe Vardon of The Athletic. Instead, he was informed by Fr Darius Garland trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the LA Clippers for James Harden.

“I was told that Clutch founder Rich Paul was not consulted when the Davis deal was made (while he was consulted on the Darius Garland trade to the LA Clippers). This is true. Paul delivered his message to the Mavericks — do what’s best for the organization, trade Davis or extend him — a month ago.”

Davis, who is out with a left arm injurywas the second highest score the Wizards had. In January, the Wizards acquired Trae Young in trade with the Atlanta Hawks.

Washington is currently 14-36. Meanwhile, the Mavericks are 19-32. In all, Davis completed one full season with the Mavericks. Last February, he was traded to Dallas from the Lakers in exchange for Luka Doncic. The decision which shook up the NBA.

Davis is averaging 20.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.

Paul is the founder of Klutch Sports, one of the most prominent sports agencies. He is best known for being the longtime agent and friend of LeBron James.

Some of Paul’s other high-profile clients include Davis, Draymond Green, Tyrese Maxey, Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball.

In January, it was speculated that Paul and Davis had begun to split. However, Paul denied those rumors.
