RJ Barrett will miss Toronto’s NBA Cup game against the Knicks after a knee injection
In the middle Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrettafter recovering from a sprained right knee, he underwent a knee injection, extending his return schedule beyond Tuesday NBA Cup quarter final vs New York Knicks. Barrett received an injection in his right knee, and his condition will be updated soon, as reported by Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.
“The Raptors say RJ Barrett, who has been dealing with a sprained right knee, continues to make progress,” Siegel said. “He was treated with an injection of platelet-rich plasma, and his condition will be updated in a week.”
Toronto lost to the Celtics 121-113 on Sunday. Brandon Ingram’s 30 points led seven Raptors in double figures, including Scotty Barnes (18 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists), who flirted with a triple-double, and Sando Mamukelasvili (14 points).
Barrett has been ruled out of Tuesday’s NBA Cup quarterfinal game against the Knicks.

Immanuel Quickley wasn’t the only Raptors teammate talking about RJ Barrett’s disappearance. Raptors ahead Scotty Barnes knows his team lacks Barrett’s production.
Barnes talked about the Raptors adjusting to playing without Barrett, according to Raptors reporter Omer Osman.
“I don’t know how it affected the role, but we miss him there. The things he does for our team with attacking the rim, being able to get out in transition and run the fast break. His catch and shot is huge. He brings so much to the game. We certainly miss him there,” Barnes said.
Barrett is averaging 19.4 points on 50.6% shooting, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists this season.
