Rockets struggle with address… and reservations
a few days ago, Kevin Durant enjoyed his revenge on Sunsshowing off very happy to knock it down his old team. Besides Phoenix winning three games since then, Houston has lost three times… and Arizona fans have noticed that their team (24-15) has been outscored by Texas (22-14)!
after the meeting, Making Udoka had his usual speechexplaining that his team lost to the Kings because they were “the most physical and difficult team”.
Another problem, Houston’s lack of skill in the fourth quarter. Over the last five games, Kevin Durant and his team have been the team that has taken the most 3-point shots in the entire league (59), except they have only made 10. That’s a very low 17% success rate…
In the previous matchup, against the Blazers, the Rockets went a terrible 1/17 from behind the line on 7m25, including 0/7 for Jabari Smith Jr., in the final quarter. They abused it less against the Kings, but there was still no success (1/6) and the Texas offense is unable to spark once the opposing defense is in place.
No hotels in Sacramento?
“Looks like a lack of confidence”answered Ime Udoka on that topic. “We have open shots, but it goes beyond that. It’s effort, energy, all of that. Whatever happens, whether we score or miss, losses like this are going to happen. If you don’t play with the same toughness and energy as your opponent, defeat is inevitable.”
It mostly looks like an offense that gives the ball to Kevin Durant while waiting for him to make the difference. The return of Alperen Sengun should help, even if the Turk found his teammates in strange conditions.
According to information from Mark SpearsThe Rockets couldn’t find a hotel in Sacramento after the game in Portland. Therefore, they stayed in San Francisco before traveling to Golden 1 centerduring the day. A journey of 150 kilometers, or about two hours by road, which did not help their business.
A surprising fact because the dates of the matches have long been known, and even if there were a lot of events planned this weekend in Sacramento, the Kimpton Sawyer hotel is across the street from the Golden 1 Center…
