Rui Hachimura’s trade stance a week before the deadline

It’s no secret that it is Los Angeles Lakers looking to upgrade the roster to NBA trade deadline next week but one main question which is The Lakers have run into a dearth of available trade funds. One player that could interest a league-wide trade is Rui Hachimurawho is now among the team’s longest-tenured players. However, if the Lakers decide to move Hachimura, it would be on one condition.
Lakers have allegedly made Rui Hachimura is available in trade talks with the deadline in a week, but only as a means of upgrading the roster and not simply shedding salary, according to longtime NBA insider Marc Stein. Hachimura is arguably one of the Lakers’ best trade assets in terms of on-court production, and he also has an expiring contract. The front office won’t give him up just because.
Hachimura recently returned to the lineup after missing seven games with a calf injury. After an initial slow start off the bench upon his return, Hachimura has seemingly found a rhythm, and that has been reflected in the Lakers’ four wins in their last five games.
He was the driving force behind the Lakers’ big win against the Dallas Mavericks last Saturday with 17 points and eight rebounds. He followed that up with 23 points in Tuesday’s win against the Chicago Bulls while missing just two shots (9-of-11).
This season, Hachimura has appeared in 35 games, including 27 starts, while logging just over 30 minutes per game. He averaged 12.5 points and 3.6 rebounds on 51.1 percent shooting from the field, 43.9 percent from the 3-point line and 75.6 percent from the free throw line.
Hachimura has also become one of the best in the NBA catch and shoot players. His current 3-point percentage is the second highest mark of his career.
