Westbrook is halfway through his 18th NBA season, his first with the Kings. The veteran guard continues to be productive with his aggressive scoring and playmaking skills at age 37.

Although his dunks have declined as he’s gotten older, he doesn’t hesitate to go up for dunks. The highlight came midway through the third quarter, when it started with Precious Achiuva missing a shot at the rim. Despite this, Westbrook quickly provided an offensive rebound and put the ball through the hoop with a fierce two-handed dunk.

It was an impressive highlight that Russell Westbrook added this season. However, the Kings continued to lose as they suffered a 120-94 blowout by the Pelicans.

The game started tight as Sacramento trailed just 31-26 after the first quarter. However, New Orleans took complete control of the match after outscoring the Kings 61-41 in the second and third periods, from which the visitors never recovered.

Perimeter shooting and ball movement made the difference in this matchup. The Pelicans won in both categories after making 16 3-pointers and 30 assists. It wasn’t the same for the Kings as they made just four 3-pointers and dished out 19 assists.

Four players scored in double figures for Sacramento in the loss, including Westbrook. He finished with a stat line of 17 points, two rebounds and two assists on 7-of-17 shooting from the field, including 1-of-6 from beyond the arc. The team was led by Maxime Rayno with 21 points and 19 rebounds, it was Devin Carter’s turn with 12 points and four assists, while Nick Clifford recorded 10 points and six assists.

Sacramento fell to a 12-43 record on the season, sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. They trail the Pelicans by three games and the Utah Jazz by 5.5 games.

Coming off a 13-game losing streak, the Kings will be looking for a much-needed win in their next game. They are on the road when they face the Jazz on February 11th at 9:00 PM ET.
