Russell Westbrook was caught on video chasing ‘Westbrick’ the heckler

The The Sacramento Kings were a huge dumpster fire so far in the 2025-26 season, he is currently 6-17 heading into Monday night’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers, despite a recent road win over the Miami Heat. Zach LaVine may have hit boosted his trade value a bit in that game with a 42-point performance, but it remains to be seen if the Kings can get any value out of this roster.

Russell Westbrook has been up and down so far during his tenure in Sacramento, with fans recently calling Westbrook “Westbrick,” his infamous online nickname for his poor shooting ability, and the Kings guard was quick to respond, as captured on amateur video.

“Don’t play with me,” Westbrook said via Fullcourtpass on X, formerly Twitter.

Westbrook then promptly buried a jumper on the ensuing play.

This isn’t the first time Westbrook has gotten into it with the fan base, especially because of the nickname Westbrook, which has haunted him for years since his disastrous stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Overall, as mentioned earlier, the Kings’ season has been a failure to this point, and any concerns about the team’s confusing structure have proven to be more than justified.

Sacramento essentially put together an older, slower version of the Chicago Bulls of the early 2020s, who weren’t a very good team to begin with and did very little in the way of building for the future or accumulating assets.

As mentioned earlier, it’s possible the Kings could get something for players like LaVine or Domantas Sabonis if they play well over the next month, but overall, things look pretty bleak in Sacramento right now.

That obviously won’t stop Westbrook from playing hard, though.
