Sean McDermott knows the Wild Card effort won’t be enough to beat the Broncos

After that The Buffalo Bills took down the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday afternoon in the wild card game, 27-24, the team will need a lot more intensity in the divisional round against the top-seeded Denver Broncos. With The Bills are hoping for another Josh Allen masterpiecehead coach Sean McDermott talks about the efforts needed for the upcoming match.

Speaking to the media a day removed from the win in Jacksonville, McDermott would talk about Denver and the success they’ve had this season, leading to the aforementioned No. 1 seed. It will be a short week for Buffalo with the game on Saturday, as McDermott said they will have to move on to the conference championship. “Play better than we did last weekend.”

“We’re going to go out there and we’re going to have to make sure we’re rested during the week as we try to prepare for a short week here as well. We’re going to have to play better than we did last weekend to win,” McDermott said via the team’s YouTube page.

The Bills pulled off a tight end against the Jaguars, but now they’ll take on the Broncos, who McDermott heaped praise on during his Monday presser, saying how complete a team they are, led by head coach Sean Payton.

“Yeah, I’m sure it’s good for them. You know, the rest and the top seed. They’ve earned it. They’ve got a great team, all three phases,” McDermott said of the upcoming success of their opponents this season.

“Very well coached team. I have a lot of respect for Coach Payton, he did it at a high level, a Super Bowl winning coach,” McDermott continued.

Either way, McDermott, Allen and the rest of Buffalo have championship aspirations, but it won’t be easy with a completely rested Denver team waiting for them on their home court.
