Seth Curry’s turn to suffer a sciatic nerve injury
The season of Seth Curry right now it looks like a puzzle. Recruited by Warriors then cut before continuing, for the last 35 years was finally reinstated to the workforce a month ago in a financial balance act. Except that since then he played only two games in the colors of his brother Steven’s team, in early December, against Oklahoma City, then Philadelphia.
And he hasn’t set foot on the floor since. His return is not imminent: Golden State released the latest information on his health after medical examinations.
An MRI done on the lower back and pelvis confirmed the staff’s fears, and the discomfort was linked to the sciatic nerve. As LeBron James he mentioned in a humorous tone when he himself was hit at the start of the season, this kind of failure also reminds one of wasting time and accumulating years at the highest level.
The Warriors have indicated that a return will not be considered for at least two weeks. Another setback for Steve Kerr, whose rotation could see a boost, especially to spare Stephen Curry. The latter still scored 39 points in 41 minutes, without success, during the defeat (141-127) after the extension in Toronto. Finally, we note that De’Anthony Melton is also in the hospital with a knee injury.
