Seth Trimble goes full Michael Jordan with a dunk against Virginia Tech
Seth Trimble nailed an incredible dunk most notably in the Tar Heels’ matchup with No. 18 North Carolina against the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday night.
Trimble is in the fourth season of his collegiate career with the Tar Heels. The young guard worked his way through the ranks before securing a full-time job in his third year. He continues to make significant strides this campaign, keeping North Carolina firmly in the NCAA Tournament conversation.
Trimble has been hitting his stride throughout his fourth year, and North Carolina’s game against Virginia Tech was no different. His highlight came midway through the second half when he forced a turnover and immediately went on a quick vacation. He rose into the air as he threw down a fierce one-handed dunk, prompting a loud ovation from the Tar Heels.

As Seth Trimble, North Carolina played against Virginia Tech

It was an impressive dunk highlight for Seth Trimble, who helped No. 18 North Carolina past Virginia Tech 89-82.
Four players scored in double figures for North Carolina in the win, including Trimble. He finished with 20 points, four assists, two rebounds and one steal. He shot 7-of-12 from the field, including 1-of-1 from beyond the arc and 5-of-8 from the free throw line. Henri Vesar led the way with 26 points and seven rebounds, Jonathan Powell with 15 points and five rebounds, while Zayden High had 12 points and five rebounds.
North Carolina improved to 23-6 overall on the season, going 11-5 in its ACC matches thus far. They hold the fifth spot in the conference standings, above the NC State Wolfpack and Louisville Cardinals, while trailing the Clemson Tigers and Miami Hurricanes.
With three straight wins, the No. 18 Tar Heels will be looking forward to their next matchup. They stay at home when they host Clemson on March 3rd at 7pm ET.
