Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren out against Grizzlies



The Oklahoma City Thunder were the best team all season. In their last game, he played a hard fought win against the Utah Jazz. But they will be abbreviated, like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Williams are among them featured list of players on the Thunder’s injured list for their game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Gilgeous-Alexander scored 46 points against jazz. However, he is dealing with a right ankle injury and is unavailable. meanwhile, Holmgren also played well, adding 28 points. However, he is dealing with bilateral shin pain and is also sidelined. Isaiah Hartenstein has a strained right soleus and is also out. Additionally, Alex Caruso has lower back pain and is questionable. Cason Wallace has a lot of pain in his toes and will not play.

A slew of injuries will force the Thunder to turn to their depth as they try to maintain success. Ultimately, Ajay Mitchell will likely get the start in place of Gilgeous-Alexander. Aaron Wiggins could get the start instead of Holmgren. Likewise, Kenrich Williams or Branden Carlson could get the start at center.

Since starting the season 24-1, the Thunder have gone 7-6 in their last 13 games, signaling a regression to the mean. One of Thunder’s lowest points came recently, in a stunning loss to the Charlotte Hornets. The Thunder beat the Grizzlies 119-103 in their first game on December 22, 2025. Before that, they beat the Grizzlies 114-100 on November 9. But they will be missing most of their starting lineup as they face the Grizzlies for the third time tonight.
