Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dismissed injury report for Suns clash

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is on his way back from a one-game absence and play in Wednesday’s NBA Cup quarterfinal game against the Phoenix Suns at the Pike Center in Oklahoma City.
The reigning NBA MVP is no longer on the league’s official injury report for Wednesday’s game, indicating that Gilgeous-Alexander ready to do it against the Sun.
This is obviously a great development for the Thunder, who have done nothing so far in the 2025-26 NBA season. they consistently prove that they are the best team in the league.
Although Gilgeous-Alexander didn’t match up in last week’s game between the Thunder and the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, Oklahoma City easily picked up its 23rd win of the season, 131-101.
It was also the Bolts’ 15th straight win, as they relied on a balanced offense to thwart the Jazz. Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams scored 15 points apiece, while four Oklahoma City bench players scored at least 11 points, including Aaron Wiggins, who scored 19 points on five 3-pointers.
The return of Gilgeous-Alexander will also likely see Ajay Mitchell return to the bench for the Thunder, who topped Western Conference Group A in NBA Cup group play with a 4-0 record. Among those OKC wins were against the Suns, with the Thunder beating Phoenix 123-119 at home on Nov. 28.
The former Kentucky Wildcats star is averaging 32.8 points, 6.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds in his eighth NBA season.
