Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Releases Converse SHAI 001 ‘Truffle’

Oklahoma City Thunder‘s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the pack as the favorite to win his second consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player award. He was also considered the NBA player with the most style off the court, so naturally he has to have one of the coolest signature sneakers in the game. Looking to claim that title, Gilgeous-Alexander recently released his latest Converse SHAI 001 Exclusive truffle sneakers.

Joining Converse as the face of their 2020 basketball line. Gilgeous-Alexander also serves as the brand’s creative directorcreating concepts for lifestyle lines as well as first-hand into his own signature model. The debut Converse SHAI 001 debuted in September 2025 and was a force in the signature sneaker landscape.

Releasing in colors reminding SGA of his loved ones as “Charm Black” or “Masi Blue”, this next “truffle” color represents the richness and rarity of the ingredient, reflecting a calm, thoughtful approach to SGA play.

Converse SHAI 001 “Tartufe”

The typically monochromatic sneaker returns in a rich brown shade, ditching the typical mesh upper material and offering up a LUXURY edition with suede all around. SGA logos are stitched in brown to match the ensemble along with a zip and lacing system hidden underneath. The shoes arrived in special packaging and limited stock, so fans lucky enough to snag a pair will be greeted with high quality and attention to detail.

Converse SHAI 001 ‘Truffle’ Onion Posted on Feb 28th, 2026 via Converse and choose Converse sockets. Supplies are reported to be limited and many retailers have already sold out, so finding a pair at this time could command a premium price increase in the retail market. Regardless, this is certainly the most hyped release of SHAI 001 we’ve seen since the original debut.
