Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s home believed to have been burglarized

With The Oklahoma City Thunder come back to beat the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, as well as a 127-108 win over the Washington Wizards on Thursday, moves the team to a perfect 6-0 record to start the season. As it is Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander held master classes on the field, off the field it was a worrying situation because it was believed that his house had been broken into.

A local broadcast in the Oklahoma City area reported a burglary in the town of Nichols Hills, Giljos-Alexander’s home. It seemed to happen at the same time like when Gilgeous-Alexander and Oklahoma City hosted the Wizards on Thursday night.

“And we’re following breaking news from the northwest part of the metro. A heavy police presence in the Nichols Hills neighborhood. Initial reports indicate that this is a home invasion,” according to a local broadcast.

“It is believed to be the home of OKC Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. SGA, as we all know, finished the game tonight at the Paycom Center,” the local broadcast continued. “The Oklahoma City police helicopter is overhead right now. We also know there is a police dog on the scene, a canine, and several officers going in and out of the house. That vehicle you see is the Nichols Hills police. We are still gathering information on this.”

Doc Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder are looking to defend their championship since last season, now the most important priority for the star and the team is to assess the situation in which the intrusion occurred. According to News 9’s Destiny Pittman in the local area, police came after the win over the Wizards and “searched the house for several hours.”

In addition, team general manager Sam Presti was “on the scene” to check on the situation.

“Multiple officers responded to the scene and searched the home for several hours,” Pittman wrote. “News 9 crews on the field observed Thunder GM Sam Presti at the scene. It is unknown if any arrests have been made at this time.”

Either way, the focus will return to the court as Oklahoma City looks to remain undefeated as the team next takes on the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday afternoon.
