Sharon Moore was detained by police after she was fired

Michigan football made a change in the position of head coach. Michigan fired Sharon Moore for reasons and began to distance the university from the coach. As the story surrounding his termination continues to develop, he was taken into custody by the police.
According to ESPN’s Dan Wetzel, combined with Pete Thamel, the reporting is that it is Moore was taken into custody by the Saline Police Department in connection with an investigation with the Pittsfield Police Department.
Earlier today, Moore was fired from his position, for cause, at the University of Michigan. Although details were not immediately given, sporting director Varde Manuel issued a statement.
“UM head football coach Sharon Moore has been terminated with cause effective immediately,” Manuel said in his statement. “Following a university investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. This conduct is a clear violation of university policy, and UM maintains zero tolerance for such conduct. Biff Poggi has been named head football coach in an interim capacity, effective immediately.”
It is important to note that Moore was detained, not arrested, as part of the investigation. On3’s Anthony Broome, who covers Michigan football notes, no current report charges against Moore, and there are currently no inmates booked under the name Sharon Moore.
This is a developing story that still needs to be followed.
