Shohei Ohtani’s ‘Toronto’ post sparked backlash

The Los Angeles Dodgers turned to three words and a Shohei Ohtani photo to ignite the fan base. A simple “Next stop: Toronto” was enough to spark reactions — as LA officially takes to the skies to face the Blue Jays.
Some Dodger fans poked fun at the next opponent — including one who took this picture of Ohtani hanging from Blue Jay’s legs.

Another fan posted a “burn them all” gif to social media website X, formerly Twitter, to evoke online energy from Dodger fans. Even a Toronto resident sent this stunning message.
“I live in Toronto, but my heart goes out to Ohtani and the Dodgers LFG,” the fan posted.
The Dodgers almost lost Shohei Ohtani to the Blue Jays
Ohtani toured the facilities who belonged to the Blue Jays in December 2023.
That’s right – LA came close to losing to the all-around star. Blue Jays manager John Schneider even joked that Ohtani brought a Blue Jays hat with him.
The rest is history. Ohtani signed his blockbuster $700 million contract December 9, 2023 Now he gets the team he almost signed with on Friday.
