Brady, minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and lead analyst for Fox Sports NFL broadcasts, did not make a prediction for this year’s game. That struck a chord with the die-hard sports analyst Skip Bailess as a bit disgusting. Bayless was a guest on the Stephen A. Smith and said Brady’s failure to deliver his game prediction had something to do with having some jealousy when the subject Patriots quarterback Drake Maia is worried.
Brady was on the winning side of 6 Patriots Super Bowl wins and 1 more with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Bayless claims the New England area’s love for Maye has affected the all-time great quarterback in a negative way. Bayless said he believes Brady looks up to Maye and that it all came too easy and too fast for him, leading to his envy of the second-year quarterback.
While Maye showed tremendous growth in his second year and was embraced by Patriots fans, no one is suggesting that he has usurped Brady in the minds of New England supporters. Bayless offered a controversial opinion that led to a discussion, which was probably the goal of the analysts.
