Sneaky trade LA tries to pull off with a 1st round pick

The Los Angeles Lakers are at the point in the season where they are looking for a replacement to improve their team. At this point it seems like a clock, and last season they shocked the entire NBA world when they managed to buy Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks for Anthony Davis. With theirs last loss to the Portland Trail Blazersit’s time for some moves.
This time they are looking for more wing players to help them on the defensive side of the ball. The Lakers don’t have a lot of assets, but they’re trying to make a sneaky move to trade their first-round pick for more, which can help them pack a bigger job togetheraccording to NBA insider Kevin O’Connor.
“Lakers want to trade their 2032 1st for multiple future 1sts, similar to when the Suns flipped their 2031 1st to 3rd 1st. Lakers are also scouring the market for 3-and-D wings,” Connor wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

If the Lakers are able to make such a deal, then they could package those picks with players like Gabe Vincent, Mack Kleber and Jared Vanderbilt.
“The Lakers are definitely looking for a wing. I think they’re definitely interested in Herb Jones. Probably too expensive, Trey Murphy, Kuminga. Maybe the Warriors as a third team. Maybe we’ll see a situation where Kuminga gets sent to the Lakers for a fill-in plus a pick, and then the Warriors send that pick plus other assets to go get MP or something,” Trey said of getting MP or OJ Con.
There are a lot of moving parts, but the Lakers could make it happen, and there’s no question they need help after seeing how they’ve performed the last few games.
