Spike Lee is ready for the semi-finals of the NBA Cup
Spike Lee is ready to watch his own The New York Knicks are fighting for the 2025 NBA Cup. The famous superfan didn’t have to think twice about heading to Las Vegas and showed up more than 30 minutes early for the Knicks’ semifinal matchup against the Orlando Magic.
Lee was escorted to their seats by the court by his son Jackson Lee. The two were decked out in Knicks gear, prompting the director to proudly represent the “father and son” duo.
Lee has always been a dedicated Knicks fan, but he increased his involvement with the team in 2025-2026. The 68-year-old has thoroughly enjoyed the team’s current 8-1 streak over the last nine games.
The Knicks enter the semifinals of the NBA Cup, and the Magic are on a four-game winning streak. They recently beat the Toronto Raptors 117-101 on Tuesday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 35 points in the win, his third straight 30-point game.
The semi-final match is a six-point second leg on December 7. New York beat Orlando 106-100 at Madison Square Garden for its third straight win.
After a slow start to the season, the Knicks have just four losses since early November. New York enters the semifinals with a 4-1 record in the NBA Cup, with all but one of the games coming in blowouts.
In contrast, the hot-and-cold Magic enter the rematch just 2-2 in their last four games. Both of Orlando’s last two wins came against the Miami Heat to advance them to the NBA Cup. Desmond Bain was the team’s leading scorer in the last win with 37, his third game with as many points in two weeks.
