Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama reacts to the shirt being auctioned
The San Antonio Spurs have been lately, currently sitting at 19-19 on the season after Monday night away win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Victor Vembanyama is a virtual lock to be the first of many All-Star games this season, and San Antonio has an outside chance to return to the playoffs for the first time in years.
Wembanjama recently created a touching moment after the Spurs’ away win over the Brooklyn Nets, in which he swapped his jersey for that of a young fan in attendance, then let the child take the jersey home with him.
However, the jersey has since been auctioned off online and now Vembanyama is taking to social media to share his reaction with a single emoji to that development (Via NBA Central on X).

San Antonio likely needs to improve its roster a bit more to be truly ready to compete with teams like Oklahoma City and the Dallas Mavericks in the West, but they have some assets at their disposal, including multiple first-round picks that will figure to be loaded 2025 NBA draft thanks to their offseason trade Dejounte Murray to the Atlanta Hawks in 2022.
