Stacey King begs Adam Silver for a rigged lottery after the Trail Blazers loss

There’s simply no getting around it. These are the worst of times for Chicago Bulls. On Thursday, they ended February without a win, falling to the Portland Trail Blazers 121-112.

The Bulls’ 11-game losing streak is five games shy of the franchise record of 16 set in 2001.

On Friday, former Bulls player turned analyst Stacey King made a bold request to the commissioner of the NBA Adam Silver on his podcast Gimme The Hot Sauce. He’s looking for the Bulls to get the No. 1 draft pick before the lottery.

“It’s time to make Chicago basketball important again,” he said.

After the loss to the Trail Blazers, Chicago is now 24-36. On Sunday, they will start March by playing at home against the Milwaukee Bucks. Then, next Tuesday, they play the Oklahoma City Thunder at home.

Lately, there has been speculation that Chicago is turning away games in order to be in a position to secure a higher draft pick. However, Matas Buzelis completely denied those claims, saying the Bulls are playing to win.

Lately, the NBA is taking steps to combat tanking. Chicago is adjusting to new roster dynamics the following seven trades it knocked out Kobe White, Ayo Dosunmu, Nikola Vucevic and Kevin Huerter.

King is known for playing for Chicago during the first three teams from 1991 to 1993. In total, he played in Chicago from 1989 to 1994.

Since 2007, he has become a popular franchise analyst. He currently works for the Chicago Sports Network. In addition, King co-hosts the popular podcast Gimmie The Hot Sauce.
