Stats & Highlights | The Wolves struggle to overcome the Pelicans

The wolves were very hot. Among the free-falling Pelicans, who had just one win in their last thirteen outings, Minnesota had to work hard to win after overtime on Tuesday in a game where defenses were casual (142-149). The game was tight for a long time with 14 ties and as many lead changes. And it took all the talentAnthony Edwards in the second period so the Wolves don’t leave Louisiana with many regrets.

The All-Star guard hit a layup that sent the game into overtime with 2.3 seconds left as New Orleans led by four points with 63 seconds left. Anthony Edwards finished with a season-high 44 points, including 34 after halftime to pull Minnesota out of the NOLA trap. The Pelicans led by 13 points at halftime before breaking through despite 33 points and 15 rebounds from Trey Murphy III. Notice the big double-double of Rudy Gobert26 points on 9/10 shooting and 13 rebounds.

Toronto also rocked to dominate Portland. The Blazers kept the ball at 117-115, but Danny Avdia – otherwise very good with 25 points, 14 assists and 8 rebounds – was called for an offensive foul, well provoked by Jamal Shead. This same Shed found Brandon Ingram to dunk on the next possession to take a two-possession lead, before Scottie Barnes (28 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists) will seal the win for the Raptors on the block.

The Canadian franchise (15 wins – 7 losses) remains second in the Eastern Conference. Portland reached the plateau with its third straight loss, and the tenth place in the Western Conference is now in danger. Sidi Cissoko still started, but did not shine (3 points, 2 rebounds, 5 fouls in 22 minutes).
