Stephen A. Smith Talks Chasing LeBron James ‘GOAT’

lately, LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith they were not on the best of terms. Lakers legend and outspoken media personality keep killing each other.
On Tuesday, Smith continued their quarrel weighing in on the current state of the Lakers and what it means for James’ GOAT prospects, according to The Ball in the Family podcast.
Basically, Smith says they’re not in a position to win a championship.
“We don’t look at the Lakers and see a championship team… They don’t beat Oklahoma City. They don’t beat Denver… (Stat padding) doesn’t buy (LeBron) GOAT status.”

Currently, the Lakers are off to an 8-3 start. Meanwhile, James is out with sciaticabut it is he is expected to return soon. The defending champion OKC Thunder has the best record in the NBA at 10-1, and the Denver Nuggets are 7-2.
The Lakers are relying on Luka Doncic at the very beginning to start strong. When it comes to the GOAT debate, there are endless candidates, and James is often mentioned alongside the likes Michael Jordan.
Many see Jordan as the greatest ever, and conversely, others say James is the greatest ever. undoubtedly Smith falls into the Jordanian camp.

Earlier this year, the feud between Smith and James revolved around Smith’s criticisms about how James raised his son Brony in the Lakers.
in March, both men faced each other during the Lakers-Knicks game with James demanding that Smith leave Brony alone.
Later in March, Smith managed to turn back in one of his comments on that topic. in October, Smith criticized James for his Hennessy ad this led some to believe that he was retiring.
All in all, the friction between the two remains strong with no real end in sight.
