The Golden State Warriors are in the middle of a tough road trip, as their Wednesday night clash against the Orlando Magic is the fifth of a six-game road trip that has taken them to five different cities in a span of eight days. In the end, they didn’t have enough against the Paolo Banchero-less Magic, as they fell to 10-6 on the season after suffering a 121-113 loss despite 34-point night from Stephen Curry.
Curry has been on a roll lately, and it’s his incredible play that covers up a lot of blemishes for this humble and tired Warriors team. He didn’t have to do much against the New Orleans Pelicans last week, scoring just nine to follow up his 90-point streak over the last two games against the San Antonio Spurs. But with Golden State needs a spark on the roadCurry had to step up despite the loss.
Regardless, the Warriors star, scoring 34 goals on the night, moved to the 22nd on the NBA’s all-time list, as highlighted by ESPN Insights. Curry passed Vince Carter on the all-time scoring list, and the all-time leading scorer now has 25,749 points.
Curry is now 37 years old, so it’s not entirely clear how much longer he can maintain this level of play. But he remains one of the best and most poised players in the NBA, so no one should expect the Warriors star to slow down anytime soon.

In their loss to the Magic on Wednesday night, the Warriors didn’t get much production from their supporting cast. Curry had 34 and Jimmy Butler poured in 33 points of his own to be Robin to Curry’s Batman. Draymond Green was Alfred in a solid performance of 12 points, six rebounds and six assists. But the rest of the team seemed to be part of Arkham Asylum, with no other player scoring in double figures.
The Warriors will face the Miami Heat tomorrow night at the Kaseya Center for the second straight matchup to complete their six-game road trip.
