Stephen Curry definitely cheats when it comes to what counts as a dunk

On Saturday night, The Golden State Warriors are back into the win column with a comfortable home win against the Utah Jazz. It wasn’t necessarily a dominant performance, but Golden State did what it needed to do to earn a 123-114 victory over the Jazz in Stephen Curry’s return to the lineup after one game absence.

At one point in the game, Curry caught a backdoor pass and made it to the rim for what looked like a cross between a layup and a dunk that got the bench excited.

After the game, Curry weighed in on whether or not the play counted as a dunk.

“I surprised myself when I got in the air that I was high enough … I’m going to count it because who knows how many chances I’m going to get. I’m going to have to ask the locker room if they agree with me or not,” Curry told 95.7 The Game on X, formerly Twitter.

At 37, Curry would be forgiven having a looser definition what is a dunk from some other players.

The most important thing for the Warriors is that they managed to get back into the win column, leaving behind their recent loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, a game in which Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green were all out.

On Saturday, Green took an early shower after being ejected for arguing with the officiating crew, but the Warriors were still able to hold on for a win against a Jazz team that has played somewhat improved basketball of late, knocking off multiple playoff teams over the past week.

Either way, the Warriors will next take the floor on Monday night on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers at 10:00 PM ET.
