Stephen Curry reveals the injury he played against the Knicks

The Golden State Warriors126-113 victory over the New York Knicks on Thursday night came with a familiar sight and a sobering revelation. After performing a vintage performance, Stephen Curry he admitted to playing through a quad contusion. That explained why he was seen limping through the tunnels at the Chase Center after the game.
The revelation added context to what otherwise seemed like business as usual from the Golden State star. Curry finished with 27 points, seven assists and three rebounds in 34 minutes. He shot 10-of-17 from the field and knocked down four 3-pointers to lead the Warriors to the milestone.
Curry admitted after the game that he “went through it”. It was a reminder of how much the Warriors still rely on their franchise cornerstone. The win put the Golden State Warriors at 23–19. It’s the first time this season they’ve gone four games over .500. It’s a significant checkpoint in a tight Western Conference race.
Golden State’s 2025-26 season was anything but smooth. Injuries and lineup adjustments forced constant recalibration. However, the The Warriors are finally finding a rhythm. Guys like Moses Moody and even Brandin Podziemski helped stabilize the offense. Still, Curry remains the pace-setter. He continues to provide clarity in the late game when things get tight.
Individually, Curry is once again producing at an All-Star level. He is currently averaging just north of 28 points per game while leading the league in three-pointers made. Playing through a quad contusion against the Knicks only heightened his importance. As the Warriors push for a playoff berth, Curry’s health will remain key to how far this team can realistically go.
