Stephen Curry was called to call Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Golden State Warriors they were dealt a serious blow after it was confirmed Jimmy Butler suffered a season-ending knee injury on Monday. The Warriors lost one of their best scorershe leaves Stephen Curry with a higher load.

Golden State is in eighth place in the Western Conference with a 25-19 record heading into Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Raptors. The team has already struggled with a healthy roster. What more now that Butler, who is averaging 20 points, is gone?

But for ESPN Kendrick PerkinsButler’s unfortunate situation could be a blessing in disguise. He invited Curry to call Giannis Antetokounmpo and force Milwaukee Bucks to trade it warriors.

“It’s time. It’s perfect time. If I’m Steph right now, I’m picking up the phone and you know who I’m calling? I’m calling Giannis and I’m like, ‘Hey man, what are you waiting for? Hell, I need you and I need you. Let’s do it right now on the show,'” Ro Perkins said.

The 31-year-old Antetokounmpo has been linked to the Warriors in recent years, and teaming up with 37-year-old Curry at this point their careers can be mutually beneficial.

“If you’re Gianni and you’re talking about winning championships and we’re talking about closing the window, that’s perfect timing. Again, I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: Nobody’s going to be mad at Giannis Antetokounmpo if he wants to leave Milwaukee,” Perkins added.

The Warriors could offer the Bucks a trade package of Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, Buddy Hield and a bunch of draft picks in exchange for Antetokounmpo.

A pair of two-time MVPs leading the Warriors? It sounds amazing.

But maybe Perkins needs to call Curry first and sell his idea.
