Stephen Curry’s unfiltered dagger angle is not for LA fans

Golden State Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry he may not be the player he used to be, but for the most part, he’s still the last person any opponent wants to see open for a 3-point shot. Then again, he can land any punch from anywhere, even with a hand to his face.
The two-time NBA MVP reminded everyone again why he’s considered the greatest sniper in basketball history when he sent the Los Angeles Lakers to sleep with a 3-pointer with less than a minute left in Tuesday night’s season opener in regulation for the Dubs and LA at Cripto.com Arena.
With the Lakers still trailing by seven points, Curry knocked down a 3-pointer from far beyond the 3-point line and practically knocked the air out of Los Angeles’ fight. Lakers guard Gabe Vincent was in front of Curry with his hands up to contest the shot, but there was only so much he could do to stop Curry from making that bucket, something he’s done a million times in his career.
Warriors too shared a video that is not streaming Curry’s clutch, where you can hear a mix of frustration from Lakers fans and awe from Warriors fans.

Now in his 17th NBA season, Stephen Curry scored 23 points on 6-for-14 shooting from the field and 3-for-9 from behind the arc against the Lakers, who simply didn’t have the quality defense to slow Golden State’s scoring or the firepower to keep up with the Dubs. Curry also drained all eight of his attempts from the free throw line, dished out four assists, recorded three steals and grabbed a rebound in 32 minutes of action.
meanwhile, Jimmy Butler led the way for Golden State with his team-high 31 points based on a 16-for-16 performance at the foul line.
After starting the season on a high note, Curry and the Warriors will continue their journey in the 2025-26 NBA campaign this Thursday when they make their season debut at home at the Chase Center in San Francisco against the visiting Denver Nuggets led by Nikola Jokic.
