Stephon Castle receives final injury status against the Warriors after a scary fall

The San Antonio Spurs got a big boost ahead of their Wednesday night clash with the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center. Rookie guard Stephon Castle, who scared the hell out of fans with a nasty fall during Tuesday’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers upgraded to available despite the pelvic contusion.

The update, first reported by NBA Insider Brett Siegel, is huge for a surging Spurs team looking to extend its five-game winning streak. Castle had a quiet night against the goals Lakers before the injuryhe finished with just two points in 12 minutes, but his game remained sharp as he had seven assists and a block before heading to the locker room.

San Antonio enters the matchup as heavy favorites against a depleted Golden State roster. The Warriors lack significant firepower, with Stephen Curry (foot), Jimmy Butler (ACL) and Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) sidelined.
