Steve Kerr is still furious with Dillon Brooks … who gets a technical foul by the NBA
Reputation of Dillon Brooks now precedes it. After the tense ending of the match against the Lakers, marked by confusion between LeBron James and Suns wingerthe refs kept an eye on him during the next game against Golden State. As such, they didn’t hesitate to pull a technical midway through the second quarter.
Dillon Brooks ended his run on the ground, launching what appeared to be a new verbal tirade directed at a Warriors player or ref for not giving him a bonus free throw. However, the player particularly “stood out” at the end of the match by making a nasty foul on Stephen Curryat the level of the ribs. A new offense that could have cost Phoenix dearly, finally the winner on the wire.
While the Warriors and the Sun were already meetingSteve Kerr had difficulty hiding his frustration at seeing Dillon Brooks on the pitch after a foul on his star player in the previous match.
Quite a record
The Golden State coach was therefore sorry to see Draymond Green sent off for this meeting, while Dillon Brooks was able to finish the previous one and that, despite the Warriors’ complaints to the league, he ended up not being punished, or even suspended, for his very ugly gesture against Stephen Curry…
“How can you not be angry?” — the coach was upset. “This is the guy who broke Gary’s (Peyton II) elbow in the playoffs with a clothesline, one of the dirtiest hits I’ve ever seen. It’s not that there isn’t history. It’s there, in front of their eyes. They just have to watch. I don’t see the point in video replay if you don’t knock somebody else out.
And to further annoy the Bay technician, the NBA even decided to cancel a technical foul committed by Dillon Brooks during the previous game. He therefore drops to eight, but remains the leader in the category this season.
