Steve Kerr plans to ‘reward’ Jonathan Cummings

The Golden State Warriors are in a state of limbo given how their season has gone, and it is uncertain whether things will get better before they get worse. They’ve had a few lineup changes, and one of the most obvious differences is how many Jonathan Kuminga was in and out rotations.

To start the season, Kuminga was in the starting lineup and played well, then things went downhill. Kuminga then came off the bench, got injured, and then started getting points in the last few games.

With recent hopes of trying to turn things around, the head coach Steve Kerr he has some big plans for Kuminga, as he noted that he had a great week of practice.

“I’m going to reward it,” Kerr said, via reporter Nick Friedel. “He has to go back there.”

Kuminga did not play against the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he scored four points and shot 1-for-10. The Warriors have played three games since then, and Kuminga has not played in any of those games. It will be interesting to see when Kuminga returns to the lineup and how much he can impact the game.

It has been a difficult season for Kuminga so far, and the last two years have been difficult for him. His playing time has been confusing to track, as Kerr has been pulling him out of the rotation for quite some time. That was the main reason Kuminga and the Warriors were at a standoff with each other during the offseason, and it was uncertain whether he would sign them to a long-term deal.

now, his name was in trade rumours much like last season, and it will be interesting to see if anything actually happens this time.
