Steve Kerr was ejected after freaking out over a missed call

Someone from Golden State Warriors thrown again against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome on Monday. No, it’s not Draymond Green.

Coach Steve Kerr went to the referees with 7:57 left in the fourth quarter after John Collins was not called for a goaltending foul on a shot by Gary Payton II. Kerr refused to be held back and was whistled for two technical fouls, leading to automatic ejection.

“The NBC broadcast clearly shows the ball hit the backboard. There was no call,” noted ClutchPoint’s Brett Siegel on X.

The Warriors were trailing the Clippers 81-74 when Kerr attacked the refs, as shown in video posted by NBC Sports Bay Area’s Dalton Johnson.

The Athletic’s Nick Friedel noted that Kerr had already been angry with the referees for what he perceived to be a wrong call involving Stephen Curry on an earlier play.

“Steve Kerr is as angry as he has been all year. He just took two quick T’s and threw it. He had to be restrained by his assistants before he got off the floor. He was angry that Steph didn’t get a follow-up call a few visits ago and thought the refs missed another call,” Friedel wrote on X.

60 year old Kerr is usually the picture of calm. But perhaps his frustration boiled over as the Warriors struggled to take the edge off the Clippers. Maybe he wanted to light a fire under his players.

Although they rallied after Kerr’s exit, the Warriors ended up losing to the Clippers, 103-102.
