Suns’ Jose Alvarado and Mark Williams suspended for Saturday’s game
The NBA has made an official decision following the altercation between New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado and Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams on Saturday night.
Alvarado and Williams battled each other throughout the third quarter of the contest. Williams shoved Alvarado on the back, causing the latter to start punching the former. Both teams had to separate them before it got any worse, as the umpiring crew ejected both players from the game.
The NBA assessed the situation and made an official decision regarding suspensions. They decided Alvarado would miss two games without pay and Williams would miss one game without pay.
