And I’m still a fan of the game, and I still love the game, so I’ll be involved during the playoffs, I’ll see how this shakes out over the next few weeks.”

While this wasn’t how Kelce expected his January to turn out as the Chiefs have made three Super Bowl appearances in the last three seasons, he shared the benefit of not having to compete properly. now.

“I’ll be able to get together with my friends and family in January instead of trying to figure out how to win some games in the playoffs,” the tight end said.

Kelce is not the only one frustrated with his team. Jason said that while he is no longer with the Philadelphia Eagles โ€” the Super Bowl champion retires in 2024 after 13 seasons in the NFL โ€” the Eagles are no longer in the playoffs after losing 23-19 to the San Francisco 49ers on Jan. 11, which Jason was “disappointed with the performance.”

“I know it wasn’t the best performance of the year offensively,” he said on ESPN’s Jan. 12 Monday night show. “They had the No. 1, highest paid offense in the league and they were mediocre throughout. That’s unacceptable.”

Well, there’s always next season.
