Team USA announced and Adam Fox confirmed the hesitation
The Olympics are five weeks away, and NHL players return to action in mid-February. Team Canada has already been announced, with San Jose Sharks forward McLean Celebrini joining the squad. Now Team USA is locked in and going to the Olympics, but will do it without New York Rangers star Adam Fox.
Team USA is similar to the team that lost the 4 Nations Face-Off Championship game last year. Florida Panthers linebacker Seth Jones replaces Fox on the blue line. Quinn Hughes will make his debut for Team USA after missing the 4 Nations due to injury. Tage Thompson of the Buffalo Sabers replaces Chris Kreider on the front unit. Utah Mammoth captain Clayton Keller took an additional roster spot.
