The Commander’s Marshawn Lattimore is clowned by fans after his first half performance against Mike Evans

The Washington Commanders were pushed to the edge by Tampa Bay Buccaneersand that’s in large part thanks to the incredible first-half wide receiver Mike Evans had. Evans has been one of the most consistent players in the league since he started his career in 2014, and it seems the veteran still has a ton of tricks up his sleeve to catch opponents by surprise. Evans defeated his primary defender and longtime rival, Marshawn Lattimorethat it had reached the point where the Commander-in-Chief was the subject of many social media clowns.

Evans, with Lattimore trying to slow him down, managed five catches for 66 yards in the first half, along with a touchdown and pass interference against the Commanders CB in the end zone. The Buccaneers were so deep in their dominance against Lattimore that the fans mocked Washington’s big midseason acquisition.

This subplot provides quite a bit of fun value for fans, especially when Evans and Lattimore are a thorn in each other’s side in many years. Evans has been a regular with the Buccaneers since 2014, while Lattimore made a name for himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the league with the New Orleans Saints – Tampa Bay’s division rival.

However, some fans are wondering how this can even be considered a “rivalry” when Evans has always given Lattimore work in almost every battle they’ve had against each other?

Mike Evans may be dominating Marshon Lattimore in their individual matchup, but there are no margins separating the Buccaneers and Commanders in their NFL Wild Card round matchup. The first half ended tied at 10, and at the time of writing, Tampa Bay tied the game at 20 with a field goal.

This game has all the makings of one that will go down to the wire, and it will be up to Baker Mayfield and Jaden Daniels to get the job done for their respective teams.
