The fans lost after a meltdown in OT against the Nuggets without Nikola Jokic
The the stars aligned for the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night in a win over the Denver Nuggets. After all, Nikola Jokic is still nursing a knee injury that would keep him out for about a month, while Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon and Christian Brown got the night off. Cam Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas were also out, leaving the Nuggets a shell of their full strength.
However, the Nuggets players decided to play honestly, and the 76ers couldn’t keep up, especially on the defensive end of the floor. The 76ers ended up losing to a depleted Nuggets team in overtime, 125-124, in what should go down as their most disappointing loss of the 2025-26 campaign.
There were so many players who stepped up for the Nuggets, with the biggest star of them all is Jalen Pickettwho scored 29 points and led Denver in scoring. But it was Bruce Brown who made the game-winning layup and Joel Embiid was late to block his layup attempt.
76ers fans are exploding with anger on social media

As it is, 76ers fans took to social media about how bad this loss was and how unacceptable it was to play against a team that was denied.
“This wasn’t a bad loss, this was a generational loss,” @mr_fanksgiving expressed.
“After saying how with all Denver’s injuries this should be easy, we tempted fate and lost to a completely depleted team. Such a shame, easily the worst defeat of the season. Kudos to Denver for getting this win, very brave….” @Uk76ers wrote.
“Paul George is a horrible dog. I know the Sixers want their money back,” @HamBoneChiTLins he added.
“That’s why the sixers lost. PG bad offensive play Maxy choked in clutch time. Joel cooked on defense,” @kalebfessahaie explained.
