The Heat are worried about their Herro
Miami broke down in the fourth quarter against Toronto, weighed down by a glaring lack of skill in the final act, finishing with just 19 points.
A defeat that can also be explained by absence Tyler Herropackage due to discomfort in the right toe. A mistake that’s been lingering for weeks: The Heat guard has already missed trips to Dallas and Orlando for the same reason…
Although he has participated in all practices since the NBA Cup elimination against the Magic, Tyler Hero was finally removed from the game minutes before tip-off against Toronto.
“He spoke to the staff and they didn’t feel it”, explains Erik SpoelstraMiami coach on his All-Star. “We will look into it again tomorrow to determine what happens next.”
Accumulating injuries
If the unavailability continues, it would be another blow for Miami: Tyler Hero is averaging 23 points on 50% shooting in the six games he’s played this season.
And the heat is starting to see her ambulance fill up. Pelle Larsson is restrained by the ankle joint, while Nikola Jovic could miss a few games after an elbow injurywhich came after a spectacular fall against the Raptors… and when he only played twelve seconds.
To make up for the absence of Tyler Hero, Erik Spoelstra opted for Simone Fontecchio in the box. The former Detroiter got his first start of the season, but he didn’t weigh in: three points, 1/5 shooting.
Result: heat is lost against Toronto and he hasn’t won in two weeks. Floridians will have another chance to restart the machine on Thursday with a trip to Brooklyn.
