The Heat’s Erik Spoelstra seems to be comparing Stephen Curry to Tyler Hero

Tiller Herro was acquired by the Miami Heat since Jimmy Butler is out, and there’s no question this could be his team now. As the Heat make their way to the West Coast, Herro has stepped up and is leading the team to win after win. In their last game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Hero finished the game with 32 points, doing so at every level for the Heat.

After the game, the head coach Erik Spoelstra gave Hero his flowers and made a comparison for him without saying the player’s name.

“A lot of times this year, he reminds me of another player; I won’t say (who). “His movement off the ball, his skill level, his handling, his scoring at all three levels, his sense of the moment in opposing arenas,” Spoelstra said.

Although he did not name the player, many people assume he is talking about him Stephen Curryand it makes perfect sense. Curry has always been known for moving off the ball and creating high percentage shots from anywhere on the floor. That’s what Hero has been able to do, and he’s trying to be an All-Star this season with the way he’s playing.

With Butler looks like he’s not coming back team and likely to be traded, it’s time for the Heat to buy the players they have now and build around Hero and Bam Adebayo.

Herro has grown every season he’s been in the league, and now it looks like he’s taken the step to become a star with what he can do offensively. It will be important for the Heat to put the right pieces around him now and watch him continue to grow and become a problem for opposing teams on defense.
