The Internet can’t believe Kawhi Leonard’s night


Kawhi Leonard turned the NBA All-Star Game in an independent performance. Appropriately, the Los Angeles Clippers the star put on a show in his home arena.

Leonard exploded for 23 points — including 15 straight in Game 3 USA vs. the World.

Leonard caused immediate reactions from the arena to the Internet.

“This is his arena,” NBC Sports analyst and former star Vince Carter said during a break.

But the internet went berserk watching Leonard leave on the end of the goal.

Fans were quick to react to Leonard’s potential MVP performance — including one bringing back one of his more famous quotes.

The Athletics responded by mentioning how the All-Star game went not originally voted by the coach.

His Clippers team even showered him with love — including typing his name in all caps.

Leonard dropped 31 points in the new format — accomplishing the feat in just 12 minutes. Sirius XM radio personality Rob Perez called it “One of the best All-Star performances you’ll see, in a game where players actually try.”

Even Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban joined in the online praise.

Leonard told NBA Insider Chris Haynes he hoped this year’s festivities would become more competitive.

“He’ll start with the starters, whoever comes out first,” Leonard told Haynes. “For me, personally, we should go back to how it was, and if the guys want to play hard, they’re going to play hard. I think it’s going to be competitive this year. I don’t know what the format is. But I hope the guys compete. They usually do, but it’s also an All-Star game.”
