The Knicks get pissed and the Bucks take a big beating

Jalen Brunson Knicks
Deprived of Giannis Antetokounmpo but on a dynamics of eight wins in ten matchesBucks welcomed Nix to the sawtooth path from the All-Star game intersection. New York’s answer was sharp: 127-98, in Milwaukee!

After an even start to the match, Jalen Brunson literally caught fire. Leader scored 22 points in the first quarter hitting 9 of his 10 shots, 100% from distance. Milwaukee stays in touch thanks to Myles Turner and Ryan Rollins, but the Knicks dominate the game (12-2), protect the ball well (only one turnover) and lead 38-30 after twelve minutes.

The second quarter began with an 8:0 victory for the visitors, which was ended by Mohamed Diawara’s winning shot. The Knicks’ outside prowess (13/22 on 3-pointers at halftime) and their defensive intensity stifled Milwaukee. OG Anunoby is racking up interceptions, Mikal Bridges is bringing his activity to both ends of the floor, while Karl-Anthony Towns is gaining steam after a quiet first quarter. Despite Turner’s 18 points in the first period and several drives from Kevin Porter Jr., the Bucks were never able to get back under ten points. At halftime, New York leads 77-57, shooting over 60%.

A game in control

Returning from the locker room, Anunoby capped the scoring with three straight 3-pointers and 15 points in the third quarter. The difference rises to +24. Milwaukee then tried to come back: Kyle Kuzma scored nine straight points to put his team at -15, especially taking advantage of a streak marked by a technical foul against Brunson. But the Knicks responded immediately, regained ball circulation and defensive discipline, and regained a more than twenty-point lead. At the end of the third quarter, New York was still largely in control (103-83).

The final act asserts New York’s dominance. Diawara is off to a strong start, Anunoby continues his long-range fest (24 points, 5/7 on 3-pointers) and Bridges gets in on the fun. The advantage increases to 32 points. The two coaches emptied the bench six minutes into the period, and the match ended without suspense with a score of 127-98.

WHAT TO REMEMBER

Where’s Giannis? Attending warmups, Giannis Antetokounmpo still hasn’t been cleared by the doctor. He missed his 14th straight game last night, and the Bucks remain 11th in the East, out of the playoff spot.

Fire quarter. Jalen Brunson had the best quarterback by a Knicks player this season with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range. The leader of the All-Stars kicked out the Bucks from the start!

Diavara effective. If Usman Dieng did not shine from the Bucks bench, on the other hand, Mohamed Diawara took advantage of his chance with the Knicks. The rookie finds time to play again, and his activity is quite good: 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists and the best +/- in the match (+25).
