The lightning driving a Giannis Antetokounmpo trade is a ‘2K scenario’ that won’t happen
While various reports continue suggest that Giannis Antetokounmpo is inevitably leaving the Milwaukee BucksNBA fans shouldn’t bother proposing Oklahoma City Thunderthe best trading package. The 24-1 defending champion Thunder are probably the only NBA roster in need of improvement. GM Sam Presti mapped out a championship stretch by pushing his core players — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren — to their max.
And while the Thunder’s last pair of losses date back to Game 6 of the NBA Finals in June, 25 games into the regular season, you can understand why prediction Antetokounmpo’s deal with Oklahoma City would only happen in NBA2K, according to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, according to Clutch Scoops.
“The Thunder are not going to be in those conversations. I can say that with a lot of confidence,” Siegel said. “Any speculation about the Thunder trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo is just one of those 2K scenarios where the NBA giants get better. It’s not going to happen. Sam Presti has a clear timeline of how their finances will work out.”

It’s a front office dream position in the midst of the NBA’s second apron era, as the Thunder’s core is not only under 30, but surrounded by a dynamic supporting cast of defenders, shooters and playmakers. Oklahoma City’s deep roster has the Thunder on pace for the most regular season wins in league history.
The Thunder’s dominance has Stephen Smith fearing for the NBA

The defending champion Thunder proved they don’t need another All-Star to dominate the NBA, as ESPN’s Stephen A Smith asked, why bother? Smith fears the NBA will become boring during the regular season because of the Thunder’s dominance, he said, according to ESPN’s First Take.
“OKC is on the verge of making this season very, very boring. They’re just that dominant,” Smith said First Take. “I’m sitting there like, ‘it doesn’t matter who they go against…’ It’s so dominant in OKC, even if you had the opportunity, with all the assets you have, to get Giannis Antetokounmpo, why bother? You don’t need him. That’s how great they are… I just don’t know what to say.”
