The Longhorns’ defense dealt a brutal blow to Vanderbilt’s scrimmage

Steve Sarkisian will have to work without one of his best defensemen on Saturday. Texas will be without star safety Michael Taaffe for a matchup with Vanderbilt in Week 10 of college football.
Taaffe, who has been out since thumb surgery on Oct. 20, will miss his second straight game in Week 10. He was listed as doubtful all week, but officially off on game day morning, Pete Nakos of On3 Sports reported.
Taafe is currently third on the team with 51 caps. As one of the Longhorns’ best defenders, his services will be missed against Diego Pavia and Vanderbilt’s efficient ground attack.
This is a developing story.
