The Pelicans haven’t won since March 31st!

Jose Alvarado Pelicans

it’s over Pelicans unlocked their streak of wins this season, and it was only in the last minute that Willie Green’s players made the difference against the Hornets. In an “isolated” game, in front of his bench, Jose Alvarado made a decisive 3-point shot with 16 seconds left and gave the Pelicans a definite advantage, who beat the team from Charlotte 116-112 without Brandon Miller, but also LaMel Ball.

Alvarado had already given New Orleans a 113-112 lead before Trey Murphy made two free throws to make it 115-112. Sadiq Bey sealed the win with a free throw with 5 seconds left. The Pelicans finished the match with a score of 11-0 and grabbed this first success of the season, but also the first since… March 31!

Before this final winning stretch for the Pelicans, the Hornets took control upon their return from the locker room. They trailed by two points at the break (61-59), Miles Bridges’ partners also scored 11-0 scored by Colin Sexton’s three-pointer (70-61). Jeremiah Fears is stopping the bleeding, so we have to wait until “money time” to see how the Pelicans take down the Hornets with the amazing Derrick Queen, the author of his 12 points in the last quarter.

With three minutes left, Tre Mann scored a double step in traffic to make it a seven-point lead (112-105), and those would be the last points of the night for the Hornets…

WHAT TO REMEMBER

Ball and Williamson are already in the infirmary. It’s always the same song with these two. LaMelo Ball will miss his second straight game with a sore ankle, while Zion Williamson has yet another thigh injury. Yves Messi was also missing for the Pelicans, and Willie Green used the “small ball” all evening.

Salt in the G-League. This “second” season begins like the previous one for Tidjane Salaun, already sent to the G-League to train, play and gain confidence…

The influence of the queen. Several are absent from the Pelicans, and Derrick Queen is taking advantage of the opportunity to show off. Deciding at the end of the match with his interception that led to free throws by Trey Murphy, the rookie collected 12 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals in 18 minutes!
