The Phoenix player has been trying to trade since the summer

Many thought it was Phoenix Suns would be in the bottom half of the league after a roster restructuring in the offseason. They have been surprisingly good, however, sporting an 11-7 record entering Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings.

the sun, hosted by Devin Bookerthey are currently sixth in the Western Conference, winning eight of their last 10 outings.

The sun was not even in full forceas Mark Williams, Dillon Brooks, Jaylen Green and Grayson Allen were sidelined with injuries at various points in the campaign.

Phoenik is not finished with the rearrangement of the composition. According to NBA reporter Jake Fisher, the team was shopping around Nick Richards.

“Phoenix has made Nick Richards available for sale since last summer, league sources say,” Fisher wrote on Substack.

He noted that teams are looking to big men to bolster their zone defenses, which he said is increasingly becoming a trend in the NBA. This could make Richards an interesting target.

“Consider that a strong signal — if my reading is correct — that we’re going to see some significant centering in the trade market in the coming weeks,” Stein added.

The Suns acquired the 27-year-old center in a January trade with the Charlotte Hornets for Josh Okogie. Richards averaged 9.5 points and 8.6 rebounds in 22.7 minutes in his first game in Phoenix.

His production has regressed this season, however, averaging 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 10.6 minutes.

While Richards has shown he can contribute, especially with his size and weight, he doesn’t appear to be part of the Suns’ vision.
