Detroit fans Clips grow with excitement about their team’s potential playoff success after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night.
Detroit is enjoying a strong campaign as one of the best teams in the entire league. They won in overtime over Cleveland, who with a solid run of games are making their way in the east of the standings.
Fans came in droves to react to the game, hoping for a better display while being positive about the win. Here are some of their reactions.
“Epic win! Both teams stepped up. The Cavs were without Donovan Mitchell and a few others, while our Pistons are still missing Isaiah Stewart,” one fan he said.
“Didn’t enjoy going to OT against a recent Cavs team. BUT… at the same time we got a full blown win while being underdogs. Guys fight when it matters. And the ones who fight harder get the win. #DetroitBasketball,” another noticed.
“Celebrate the win but stay locked in. Every recap is proof that the preparation met the opportunity. Pick it up, stay humble and keep building the scoreboard tells only part of the story. The measurement goes on,” one commented.

“I got the win and JB benched Levert for Sasser, I prayed for times like this,” fan he said.
How the Pistons played against the Cavaliers

Pistons fans can only want more from their team after beating the Cavaliers. Still, the playoff ceiling remains high for them.
Five players scored in double figures for Detroit in the win. Jalen Duren dominated with a performance of 33 points, 16 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. He shot 11 of 19 from the field and 11 of 15 from the free throw line. Next is Cade Cunningham with 25 points and 10 rebounds, Auzar Thompson with 18 points and eight rebounds, Ronald Holland II with 12 points and three rebounds, and Tobias Harris with 11 points and six steals.
Detroit improved to a 44-14 record on the season, boasting first place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are 5.5 games above the Boston Celtics and seven games above the New York Knicks.
The Pistons will be looking forward to their next match, as they are on the road. They face the Orlando Magic and tip-off will take place on March 1st at 6:00 PM ET.
